A historic shooting lodge wedding and event venue set in mature woodland and river garden in the heart of the Wicklow Hills. Wild swimming by appointment in our Salmon pool gardens open daily on the Wicklow Way bed and breakfast.
Ballyteige is a country venue catering for bespoke wedding, corporate and private events. We are in the process of renovating an historic River Garden on the premises. We also run retreat weekends and can provide comfortable accommodation in four double bedrooms.
The lodge itself was built in 1900 as shooting lodge and country retreat for the eminent Dublin Surgeon, John McArdle. The house is situated at the meeting point of three interlocking valleys along the River Ow. Extensive planting was carried out in the late Victorian era that has, a hundred years on, left a legacy of mature trees and shrubs.
