Description

Coolcarrigan House was built by Robert Mackay Wilson. It has been added to and modernised over the years, and is now a very comfortable family home.

The church was built in the 1880's also by Robert Mackay Wilson. It has some very interesting stained glass windows and Gaelic scripts on the walls chosen by Douglas Hyde, the first President of Ireland. There are regular Sunday services held.

Wedding Description

Coolcarrigan church is secluded within the confines of Coolcarrigan estate within a small forest looking out on to beautiful mature parkland. It is a tranquil and private setting that will surely make your wedding an unforgettable day.

A very unique, romantic, traditional church only accessible by walking through a Lynch gate as the church is surrounded by a circular dry moat.
