145 bedrooms
One of Ireland’s leading hotels, ideally situated in the Meath countryside, yet on Dublin’s doorstep. It offers acres of stunning landscaped grounds, a luxurious spa, spacious bedrooms and a fine reputation for quality food & service.
Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa is a sought after Wedding Venue with packages to suit all tastes and budgets.
Dunboyne Castle Hotel is a stunning Georgian mansion, built in 1764. The property has been thoroughly renovated in recent years but retains the charm that makes it so popular among newly engaged couples. The estate also offers a rich history, having been built on the site of the original castle. This was destroyed in the 18th Century Cromwell invasion, and the ruins can still be viewed on the grounds.
However, the rich heritage of the estate is just one of the reasons it has gained a reputation as the top wedding venue in Meath. With a choice between the Georgian Drawing Room and contemporary Tara Ballroom, weddings with up to 220 guests can be held in the hotel. We operate a one wedding a day policy and would be delighted to help you celebrate your special day. Discover what’s on offer in our Meath wedding venue, and imagine hosting your celebrations with us.
As your wedding car winds its way up our drive, you’ll see guests gathered around our charming Georgian property. A glass of prosecco will rest in their hands, ready to toast to your happiness as you step on to your red carpet. Once you’ve finished greeting your loved ones, you’ll be escorted to the Library to enjoy a drinks reception with gourmet canapés.
At a suitable interlude, our dedicated wedding team will escort you to your seats for the wedding meal. Larger wedding parties can continue their celebrations in the Tara Suite, a modern ballroom with contemporary furnishings. Sterling silver candelabras with tea lights will glitter on the tables, adding to the enchanting mood.
More intimate celebrations will take place in our classic Drawing Room, with pretty stucco plasterwork cornices and chandeliers glittering from the ceiling. However, regardless of the venue, you can expect 4-star luxury at every turn.
Executive Chef John Burke designed the menus at Dunboyne Castle. He uses local produce to create innovative, mouth-watering dishes, sure to delight your wedding guests. Before your wedding day, you’ll have sampled your chosen menu, and the food will be just as appetising on your special day.
Though centrally located just 20 minutes from Dublin city centre, our hotel is nestled in 21 acres of secluded grounds. The lush green landscape provides the utmost privacy for your celebrations – and a picture-perfect backdrop. There are numerous locations on our grounds for wedding photography, as well as inside our charming Meath wedding venue.
After you’ve finished dining, you can step into your first dance as a married couple. Your celebrations can continue into the early hours, with our complimentary bar extension.
Our unique and exclusive honeymoon suite, The Synolda Suite, is luxuriously appointed. It features a plush four-poster king size bed, rich textures, antique furniture and a marble bathroom with a deep soaker bathtub. The only guest room located in the Original Georgian House and spanning the entire top floor, The Synolda Suite retains its old world charm while offering a truly exceptional experience.
