As a third-generation family run business we know a thing or two about hospitality and pride ourselves on our professional service and friendly welcome. There are no strangers in Gielty's only friends who have never met before.
Gielty's Bar & Restaurant is the last pub on the road of pubs in Achill Island. Situated at the edge of Dooagh village on the road to Keem beach Gielty's is the most westerly pub in Europe.
Gielty's is home to music. We are renowned for our traditional music sessions which break out most evenings of the week. Gielty's also includes a large Function Room, which can cater for up to 180 people.
Gielty's purpose built air-conditioned Function Room has its own bar and seating area which can cater for up to 180 people.
We can cater for weddings, fundraisers, 21st birthdays, christenings, concerts etc. For smaller functions, we can section off part of the Function Room with a curtain to cater for smaller groups.
Our Function Room is fully sound proofed and has a built-in sound system and dance floor.
With full insurance and a late-night dance licence we can accommodate your function up until 2.30am in the morning.
