Description

After at least 500 years of private history, Killyon Manor has been public for just five years - for alternative retreats and festivals, parties and weddings with a difference – a sweet coming-together of people in this magical part of Meath. Around us, on the land, we’ve let Nature take the lead more and more, and these sixty acres today are fizzing with native wildlife – birds, bumblebees, butterflies, buttercups and beyond...

These next five years, we want to bring you all closer: Nature helping people, People helping Nature. Less wild parties, more communing with the wild. We’re not sure what this will look like yet, but join us on the journey, because we’d never have got to where we are without you.

Wedding Description

We’re all about simple, and beautiful, here. No complications, full chill, nothing artificial, nothing stressy. Just an exquisite few hours gathering in the deep beauty of wild nature. Think an organic, leafy ceremony in the woods with your closest friends and family, followed by a few drinks, snacks and photographs in the late afternoon. We provide the spaces -adorned with wild-flowers if you so wish - and you bring the rest.

Wander along the riverbank to a secret ceremony at the Ruined Chapel, which we’ll have decked with wild foliage, flowers and lanterns. Under the cathedral cover of the trees, we’ll have laid out a few rough hewn benches and a living table of moss and flowers. We are licensed by the HSE so if you want to make it legal here you can, but that’s entirely up to you.

It’s so lovely here, you may not want to leave too soon. Take your time over the photos. Have some refreshments, and breathe in the day. You have the whole afternoon, and complete freedom and privacy here. Bring champagne and canapes, cocktails and cake - or keep it totally casual. And if the weather’s not perfect, there’s a darling little tent in the meadows that’s yours for the day, which you can leave as is, or furnish as you like.
