Parkanaur is a large, rambling romantic Tudor Revival house which has evolved through the years. Originally the land was held by the O’Donnellys until granted by James I to Sir Toby Caulfield in the early 1600s.
Parkanaur is set in beautiful grounds, wooded by the planting of 21,000 trees and 91,000 quicks by John Henry Burges. It boasts a rare herd of white fallow deer, one of only two herds in Ireland. Much of the original estate is in the ownership of the DARD Forestry Service.
Parkanaur Manor House can organise your wedding reception to suit any special requirements from full day celebrations to intimate evening dinners. Our beautiful grounds lend themselves as an ideal setting for marquee weddings. At Parkanaur Manor every wedding is treated as a unique occasion and members of our staff work closely with each bride and groom to ensure that their wedding reflects their own individual style and taste.
We can organise a wedding reception to suit any special requirements from full day celebrations to intimate evening dinners.
Food and produce for the wedding meal is sourced locally where possible and clients are offered the choice of a traditional sit down meal or a modern fork buffet menu. The staff at Parkanaur are always more than happy to discuss menu options and change courses if requested.
The historical house can accommodate up to 90 people in the magnificent Long Gallery. This can be extended to 120 people when the piano room is opened and the spectacular Drawing Room can hold up to 75 guests.
