Every great city has its old town and, in Cork, it’s North Main Street. St. Peter’s Cork is its highlight and we continually breathe new life through our innovative cultural and heritage programme of events.
Nestled in a private courtyard, a green haven tucked neatly off one of Cork’s most characterful city streets, the church was deconsecrated in 1949, although drawings of it feature in ancient maps of the area dating as far back as 1580.
The atmosphere is quiet; reverent… special. Many of St Peter’s beautiful stone memorials are hundreds of years old and steeped in story, while the whimsical secret garden winds around the building, offering a charming space for guests to mingle (and a fairytale backdrop for your wedding photographs).
Inside the grand front doors, these hallowed halls open up into a light-filled space where you can say your vows as the sun streams down from the lofty windows. A more intimate ceremony can be arranged in one of St Peter’s ethereal alcoves; our creative team is on hand to help you make your design dreams come true.
