The Lawrence is a luxury, boutique hotel situated in the Ancient North East of Ireland. We’re in the centre of Athboy, a thriving town and community. We look forward to offering you a traditional Irish welcome in our 18th century building, which we’ve restored and modernized to offer 1920’s style magnificent glamour.
Nestled in the market town of Athboy, constructed over the remains of an ancient road upon which Queen Maeve marched her army and the rains of a Norman castle, The Lawrence is the perfect venue for small intimate weddings, whilst also offering the ability to house a marquee wedding for up to 150 guests.
Its real charm lies in its old frontage from 1870 which houses a beautifully restored bar blended with a fine dining room/function room which oozes with 1920’s Art Deco glamour. Every detail of your event can be customised to your needs.
This venue offers a wedding planning exploration weekend, which includes a stay at the wonderful 11 bedroom boutique hotel for one night, evening meal, planned meeting with the onsite wedding planner and breakfast the next morning.
